Don's Dwindling Digits
Another Cup of WTF!
“The polls are rigged even more than the writers. The real number is 64%, and why not, our Country is hotter than ever before.” - Donald Trump on his approval numbers 2 months ago.
According to the latest polls 6 out of 10 Americans believe that Donald Trump is doing a shitty job. So tomorrow night you can count on him handing all of us a jabbering pile of self serving bullshit as he tries to convince us (and mostly himself) how wonderfully perfect everything is… in the history of the United States. What’s the over-under on how many times he says “the likes of which no one has ever seen before.”?
The truth is this. People are getting fed up with the way his administration is handling (covering his ass) the Epstein files. They’re disgusted watching men with masks, guns and no warrants dragging people from their cars, homes and places of work. They’re tired of paying higher prices because of tariffs and seeing our allies threatened and insulted because of his fragile and narcissistic ego. It’s been a full year, full of crap and a lot of this country has finally had it. As of today only 26% of independent voters approve of the job Trump is doing. That’s down from 41% a year ago.
A couple of events this week also shed some light on Trump losing the grip that he once had. The Supreme Court shockingly ruled against Donald and his tariffs. Then tragically a 21-year-old Trump supporter was killed by the Secret Service. Reports indicate that he entered Mar-a-Lago armed and was upset over the Presidents handling of the Epstein files. I have no idea what this young man’s state of mind was, but what’s it say when your own people are trying to harm you.
I’d like to confidently say that the tide is turning, but it’s way too early and I’ve been disappointed too many times. There’s also too many people that still blindly fawn and follow Trump without questioning a single thing he says or does. These next few months leading up to the midterms should hopefully make things more clear for all of us.
Sketches and sketchy stuff…

The State of the Union is tomorrow night and I’m sure that the President’s address will contain issues to comment on, but I wanted to create a panel that summed up where things are before he speaks. I chose the latest approval numbers because they’re extremely low and they are a reflection of so many negatives from this past year.
The idea was simple and came to me easily. Trump has dismissed anything negative about his polling so I simple chose to hide (redact) his approval number. According to his administration the redactions in the Epstein files serve to protect the victims and I decide that his redacted approval number could be explained in the same way. Trump always plays the victim when he’s not playing the hero, so why not.
It’s been a while since I’ve actually drawn the President, but I’ve done it so much that it wasn’t a struggle. Just a few adjustments on arm and paper placement in order to fill the format and leave room for the copy.

I’m sure you’ve heard of the Angel Families traveling to DC tomorrow to support the blowhard-in-chief. I am beyond disgusted.
