Bombing The Epstein Files
Another Cup of WTF!
“ A lie travels round the world while truth is putting her boots on.” - Edgar Allen Poe
Maybe if we kill enough people on the other side of the planet we’ll all forget about the multitude of pages the Justice Department withheld about sexual abuse allegations towards President Trump in the Epstein files.
This revelation about the unreleased pages was published by NPR just 4 days before we attacked Iran. The next day the republican chairman of the House oversight Committee promised to investigate. The next 2 days saw the Clintons testifying about their involvement with Epstein. Then… KA-BOOM!
Of course there’s no hard evidence that the attack on Iran was meant as a diversion to push the Epstein story to the back burner, but it’s not that difficult to connect the dots. Trump has been consistently frustrated by this tangled web he weaved and he must be exhausted by his failures to shut it down. It’s disgusting and pathetic to think that the President of the Unites States is so wrapped up in his own narcissistic world that he would start a war and kill people in order to change the conversation. Unfortunately that’s where a lot of us are at right now, myself included.

I wanted to create a cartoon that communicated the idea that Trump’s attack on Iran was his latest attempt to divert attention from the Epstein files. I decided to use the phrase ‘Regime Change’ and wanted to depict the Epstein story being the regime that Trump actually wanted to change.
I began by drawing a few sketches of a file box sitting on a pedestal or wearing a crown labeled as the ‘Top Story’ to signify its importance. I considered a missile about to hit it in a few sketches, but decided against it because it would have made the drawing of the file box much smaller and it needed to be large enough to make the type readable. I also played with the idea of adding Trump or just his hand with his tiny fingers flicking the crown off of the box.
In the end I decided to just keep the image simple. The file box and the crown indicating that the Epstein story was at the ‘Top of the News Cycle’ was enough to get the idea across. I later switched the wording to read ‘King of the News Cycle’. That seemed more appropriate with the imagery and worked better with the idea of depicting the never ending Epstein saga as a regime.
Final drawing…
