I thought that I would offer everyone a short break from the algae, blue paint, phantom vandals and Presidential bullshit floating around in the Reflecting Pool.
Allow your mind to wander away from Trump’s claim just a month ago that the coating in the Reflecting Pool was so tough that it couldn’t be cut by a knife and now claims that’s exactly what happened.
You should also take a mental pause from the fact that the President riding inside his official vehicle named “The Beast” and his multi-vehicle motorcade went off-roading and drove directly over the newly repainted Reflecting Pool back on May 7th.
What you should remember (and I will continue to remind you) is this. Donald Trump is mention over 38,000 times in 3 million redacted pages of the Epstein files… and there are another 3 million pages that haven’t been released.
Sketches & sketchy stuff…
I had the idea for this cartoon months ago when the Trump 2028 nonsense was starting to unfold. The idea of him running for a third term has faded a bit, but there are still some moronic MAGA minds that are pushing the idea. Trump himself mentioned running again at an appearance in Pennsylvania just yesterday. The President stated, “Maybe we should run again. Should we run one more time? I’d like to do that.” It’s also worth mentioning that a heckler was escorted away from the event after yelling “Pedophile” and saluting Trump with his middle finger.
As you can see I did a few sketches of the young girl and I took a few artistic liberties with this panel. I realize that she looks a few years younger than 12, but I did that to make sure that she came across as a child. I also wanted her small to be a visual contrast against the large blackboard. After drawing her a few times I also decide that it would be a better cartoon and she would come across as more defiant if she was standing on top of an Epstein file box.
The last thing I played around with was the wording. I tried a number of variations and I think what I ended up with works best. I did have a slight concern about using the word illegal in place of unconstitutional, but my thesaurus matched the latter to unlawful, criminal and not legal. All good.
